Week 6 NFC North Preview

Analysis Featured

Week 6 is coming so let’s preview the NFC North games.

Vikings Bye 5-0

Vikings got pretty lucky facing terrible Giants via 3rd place schedule, first half garbage Love off the knee injury, injured teams like the 49ers/Texans both in Minnesota and Rodgers trying to get his coach fired throwing 3 interceptions on purpose.  By Week 7, the Lions will be in first in the NFC North.

Lions at Cowboy 425 ET FOX

Lions get revenge on the Cowboys. Cowboys are an average team (3-2) with poor run game and run defense. Dallas has injury concerns with their pass rush (Lawrence and rookie Breeland IR) but Parsons could play from that ankle sprain.

Lions let Ceedee Lamb go off last year but new CBs Carlton Davis, rookie Terrion Arnold and nickel Amik Robertson should do a better job this year. Lions pass rush is fierce led by NFC Defensive Player of the Month Aidan Hutchinson. They are still adjusting to losing Marcus Davenport and Derrick Barnes to IR. Detroit still has one of the best run defenses in the league though so Rico Dowdle and Ezekiel Elliot will go nowhere. Cowboys rookie left tackle Tyler Guyton also has a knee injury to watch.

Detroit offense with a strong game against a weakened Cowboys defense. Goff isn’t perfect 18/18 again but has a good day. Avoiding multiple turnovers and the Lions win by double digits. Lions 24 Cowboys 14 (Lamb still with 125 yards).

Cardinals at Packers 1 PM ET FOX

Green Bay tries to win 2 in a row and get to 4-2. Jordan Love is starting to feel better from the knee and Doubs returns from a team suhspension. Kraft had a monster game and Reed is having a monster year. Cardinals defense is solid but has plenty of weaknesses.

Kyler Murray can be dangerous or lay an egg. How he plays will determine this game? Will Jaire be back for the Packers. Can Green Bay finally get a pass rush. Will McKinney continue with interceptions (5 in 5 games so far). Cardinals rush offense is solid with James Conner and Benson so the Packers will need to improve here. Trey McBride injured and would be big if he returned. Rookie Marvin Harrison Jr dangerous but not a consistent dominate player yet.

Home game for the Packers and they will force more turnovers. Murray egg. Packers 35 Cardinals 14

Jaguars at Bears in London 930 ET NFL Network

The Bears (3-2) head to London to keep their home winning streak alive. The Jaguars beat the Colts for their first win who beat the Bears so Jacksonville has a chance to save their season (1-4). Chicago whipped the Panthers and get a chance at another big cat.

Bears defense will be without Brisker but still should be solid. If Lawrence can have another really strong game like last week, the Jaguars will have a shot. But Bears do enough on offense, have a solid day running with Swift and Roschon and force a couple turnovers for the 24-17 win across the pond.

Vikings 5-0

Lions 4-1

Packers 4-2

Bears 4-2

Best division in football.
