Is the MVP Race Close?

NFC North Observations

No.  The MVP race is not close.  Here are your top quarterback contenders:

Aaron Rodgers:

372/526, 70.7%, 8.2 YPA, 4,299 yards, 48 TD, 5 INT, 121.5 rating.

Patrick Mahomes:

390/588, 66.3%, 8.1 YPA, 4,740 yards, 38 TD, 6 INT, 108.2 rating.

Josh Allen

396/572, 69.2%, 7.9 YPA, 4,544 yards,  37 TD, 10 INT, 107.2 rating.

Aaron Rodgers is the MVP and its not close.

Special notes:

DeShaun Watson had a very good year, but you don’t win the MVP on a losing, shitty, awful team.  Derrick Henry (2,027 yards, 17 touchdowns, 5.4 average) would have been in the running had Aaron Rodgers not also played this season.  He was as valuable as the other two quarterbacks.  But Aaron Rodgers did play and the MVP is not close.
