Guts, Glory, and Goats: Week 6

Opinion

Week 6 ended with the NFC North finishing a combined 3-1, so let’s take a quick look at the great and not so great performances of the week for our resident North teams.

Guts

Aaron Rodgers, QB, Green Bay Packers

Rodgers completed his 4th 3+ TD and 0 Int game of the season.  Rodgers was able to orchestrate a 2 minute final drive that included a 19 yard completion on 4th and 10, a fake spike for a 12 yard gain, and his final TD pass of the game with 3 seconds left on the clock.

Glory

Alshon Jeffery / Brandon Marshall, WR, Chicago Bears

After being relatively quiet all season, this WR duo ripped off 249 combined yards on just 11 receptions.  Although they didn’t get into the endzone, they caused more than enough damage to make the Falcons defense look foolish.

Goat

Theodore Bridgewater II, QB, Minnesota Vikings

After a huge game vs the Atlanta Falcons, Bridgewater was pretty anemic in his encore.   Finishing the day with 3 Ints 0 TDs and just 5.1 yards per attempt.  Granted this was just his second career start, but there is a lot of work to be done with this young QB.
