Is it really Week 8? We are almost half-way through the regular season. Time flies when you are sweet melting and battling over PFF rankings. The NFC North race is tight and there are some big time matchups this week. Let’s take a gander at them, shall we?
Jets (3-4) at Bears (3-3) 1 PM FOX
Bears should win this game at home. Chicago has dropped the past two games but the Jets don’t have the offense to beat the Bears defense. Sam Darnold struggled last week against the Vikings defense. Mack should have himself a day and the Bears defense will force some turnovers on the rookie. Barring a fluke like Week 1, Jets get beaten down.

Seahawks (3-3) at Lions (3-3) 1 PM FOX
Detroit’s rise to NFC North glory continues after two wins in a row. Detroit added some snacks to the mix with the Damon Harrison trade. Seattle is coming off a bye week and are very healthy. Wilson is a scrambler who just flat out makes plays and Doug Baldwin/Tyler Lockett are dangerous receivers. Chris Carson, Rashaad Penny and Mike Davis is a solid run game but Detroit will look to have their run D issue resolved with SNACKS in the middle.
Stafford has five games in a row over 100 QB rating and is playing great. Seattle’s defense doesn’t have the Legion Boom but they have still been solid this year. Frank Clark and Jarran Reed can rush the passer and Bobby Wagner and KJ Wright are good linebackers. Shaquil Griffen and Neiko Thorpe have been solid at corner. Detroit has home field advantage against a West Coast team and needs to keep playing well. Unless Wilson makes some magical plays, Detroit should win this crucial NFC game.
Lions 28 Seahawks 24
Packers (3-2-1) at Rams (7-0) 4:25 FOX
The Greatest show on Grass looks to stay undefeated. Green Bay has lost both their road games this year and this will be their toughest game. Gurley can run wild and Goff can torch you through the air with Brandin Cooks, Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods. Suh and Donald at DT can wreak havoc so the Packers interior offensive line must bring their A game. Marcus Peters against Davante Adams will be a huge matchup that Adams must win for Green Bay to keep pace. This game could be a shoot-out and never doubt Rodgers. Allison and Cobb should be back for Green Bay at WR. The Packers have a pretty good chance but the Rams are undefeated for reason.

Saints (5-1) at Vikings (4-2-1)
This is a rematch of the divisional matchup from last season. The Vikings had a miracle TD and the Saints will be looking for revenge. Drew Brees has been playing incredible this season but the Vikings defense has stepped up the last few weeks. The Vikings keeping pace with Brees will be the main focus of the game. Can Thielen prove he is the number one WR in the league and break 1,000 yards by the half-way point? Can Cousins avoid costly fumbles and turnovers to keep pace with the Saints? This should be a great game on Sunday Night Football. Vikings win it on another late miracle TD. Bailey makes the extra point unlike Justin Tucker.
