The 2023 NFL Schedule is here! Let’s review how it shaped up for the NFC North teams. NFC has 8 home games and 9 away games this year. Nobody in the North is playing internationally.
Detroit Lions: NFC North Favorites
The Lions got way more prime time games in 2023 (5) than 2022 (2 , Thanksgiving and another being flexed Week 18 to knock the Packers out of the playoffs).
Detroit also nabbed a Week 9 mid-season bye. Lions open the season at the Chiefs on Thursday Night Football and have two other Thursday Night games. The NFL thinks they are ready for big things. Lions don’t travel that far this year and only have on potential cold game at Bears December 10 (good for Goff). Seattle, at Baltimore, at Dallas is a tough second place schedule for the extra 3 games. Lots of 1 PM starts when not in prime time other than 405 ET at the Chargers.
